Top smartphone makers out there, including Samsung and HTC, have already released ?mini? flavors of their flagship devices, and it appears that Sony is set to follow suit.
However, the Japanese company is said to plan on packing the smaller flavor of the device with high-end hardware inside, so as to ensure a great experience for all users. While other vendors have packed the aforementioned mini versions of their smartphones with lower specs, and with more affordable price tags attached, Sony is planning another route with the smaller variant of Honami, VR-Zone reports.
Apparently, the company will equip the upcoming device with a Snapdragon 800 processor, a camera close to that of Honami, at least in terms of capabilities, if not resolution-wise, and with a 4 ? 4.3-inch screen, the same as that of other ?minis.?
Sony is reportedly set to make the Honami official on September 4 at the IFA 2013 tradeshow in Berlin, and might call it Xperia i1, should previous rumors on the matter pan out.
The smartphone is said to feature a 5-inch Full HD screen and a high-end 20-megapixel photo snapper, which should allow it to deliver a great imaging experience to its users. The phone has been allegedly confirmed to arrive in South Korea before the end of the year.
With no official word on the two upcoming mobile phones from Sony, we?ll take the info above with a grain of salt. Hopefully, they will prove to be more than just wishful thinking, so stay tuned for additional details on them.
